Michael Fuhrman moved to Santa Barbara in 2004 to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating UCSB with a degree in Business and Economics with an emphasis in Accounting, he realized there was nowhere he would rather be than this thriving community surrounded by ocean, islands, and mountains. Upon successfully completing all four sections of the CPA tests, he became employed as an Auditor by the United States Department of the Treasury where he was able to apply his accounting, financial, and business knowledge to a vast array of complex scenarios for over 5 years. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of the complexities of the tax code and the overall audit process. While fully employed by the Department of the Treasury, he concurrently entered a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program through Cal State University, Channel Islands, which he completed in March of 2013, graduating with honors.
In his leisure time, he enjoys horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, traveling and generally, the great outdoors, all of which make him very fortunate to live in Santa Barbara.
